Problem
The COVID-19 pandemic significantly disrupted educational delivery, rendering traditional teaching and learning methods obsolete almost overnight. Universities faced an unprecedented decline in student satisfaction, especially among international students. The urgent need to transition to online education posed a considerable challenge for the sector, making it critical to find swift solutions.
Opportunity
This project aimed to explore the pain points and opportunities within tertiary online education, specifically focusing on the experiences of international students. By identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the new learning environment, we sought to lay the groundwork for redefining and reshaping the future of education.
Solution
Our proposed solution included a set of recommendations based on key themes identified during the research. These recommendations addressed immediate concerns to enhance the international student experience in the short term.
Additionally, we provided strategic recommendations and priority areas for the medium and long term.
To facilitate dialogue and collaboration, we developed infographics that were distributed throughout the community. These materials served as conversation starters for rethinking and co-designing educational delivery in the post-COVID era.
Project OUTPUTS
Several visual narratvies were developed to communicate outcomes with different internal stakeholders, including reports, infographics, and project summaries, which were circulated throughout the community.
